Hybrid solar installation in fire station of Zaragoza
Thanks to the installation of 28 ECOMESH hybrid solar panels on the roof of the fire station No.1, Zaragoza has become the first Spanish city where this technology has been installed on a public building.
This installation will involve an annual savings of 9.618 kWh (electricty) and 31.184 (kWh). As to CO2 emissions, it is expected a reduction of 18,6 tons per year. From the Zaragoza City Council it has been opted for this technology due to the “high sanitary hot water consumption which is required by the main fire station of the city, added to the characteristics of the available space on the roof of the building”.
The steps carried out in this project consisted of:
- Installation of 28 hybrid solar panels on the roof of the building.
- Installation of the hydraulic circuit, from the roof to the deposit located in the basement.
- Installation of the electric system related to the photovoltaic production of the hybrid panels.
- Coupling of the accumulation tank with the rest of the current thermal installation.
